Historic Luxury at our Four-Diamond Resort on Lake George
An elegant nod to a bygone era, the Historic Hotel was originally built in 1883 and lovingly restored to reflect The Sagamore’s rich heritage, complete with clapboard siding and classic Victorian architecture. Our luxury resort on Lake George features 137 elegant guest rooms, including 54 suites, with contemporary Adirondack-inspired décor and a choice of lake or garden views. You will also enjoy a host of amenities including high-speed Internet access, in-room movies and marble-accented bathrooms with pedestal sinks.
The guest rooms in the Historic Hotel offer a relaxed, club-style ambiance complemented by original artworks and plush furnishings. These enchanting Adirondack accommodations feature either a king-size bed or two double beds and are available with either lake or garden views.
Wake up to panoramic views of Lake George from the Governor’s rooms or reserve one of the Historic Hotel’s premier balcony suites, which boast a queen-size pullout sofa and commanding views from a private lakefront balcony. Guests who stay in the Historic Hotel at our resort on Lake George will also enjoy the convenience of being near many of The Sagamore’s award-winning restaurants, pool and waterfront areas.
For guest safety and optimal comfort in our accommodations, no additional bedding outside of the existing bed configuration in our guest rooms and suites will be provided - this includes rollaway beds and cots. The Sagamore Resort no longer provides rollaway beds. Cribs and/or pack and plays are available upon request for children up to three years old and within the safety guidelines of the equipment provided.
