Climb, reach, swing, play — The Sagamore's indoor Challenge Course turns a meeting experience into an educational adventure. The largest in New York State, this 9,000 square-foot course enables individuals to step out of their comfort zone into a world of personal insight and growth. Groups tell us that after conquering the Challenge Course together they discover new leadership abilities and communication skills, plus a greater sense of team spirit. Each program is a progressive series of activities, games and problem-solving challenges that are custom-tailored to fit your group's goals and abilities.

Starting with the premise that maximizing a sailboat’s performance is remarkably similar to maximizing a company’s performance, participants are challenged to learn a new skill and collaborate with other team members to achieve in a competitive environment. Even if your team has never set foot on a boat before, we will have them sailing in just a matter of minutes – feeling the thrill of handling a 26-footer, buoyed by a sense of achievement! Sailing presents no physical limitation and men and women of all ages participate as equals.

The Sagamore Sailing Fleet
At The Sagamore, you will sail on the lake in the high-performance Colgate 26. Designed by Steve Colgate and renowned naval architect Jim Taylor, the Colgate 26 offers the security of its big ergonomically designed cockpit with plenty of room to move around.

Trained Instructors Are With You on Every Sail
Instructors are selected for their high level of knowledge, strong teaching and communication skills.

Group and Team Outings
Half, full and multi-day programs are available. You’ll start by learning the basics of sailing in an on-the-water session. Everyone has a job at all times as you “learn by doing” in true hands-on fashion. Once your crew is working together as a team and you are comfortable with the basic maneuvers, we hold a series of races, or similar challenges, to put your skills to the test.
